After making her debut as a child artiste, Vijayanirmala turned a heroine and excelled asn artiste in several successful films.

At the same time, she had directed some 47 films and got an entry in the Guinness Book of World Records as the woman director who had directed more number of films.

This artiste cum director had recently celebrated her birthday. On the occasion, she participated in a programme 'Spandinche Hridayam' organised by news channel and met some old women.

Speaking on the occasion, she says, 'These days, the films lack enough strength in stories. Only a couple of films out of 100 are possessing a good storyline. Very recently, Maheshbabu had rewrote the record of the 75-year-old Telugu cinema history, with his blockbuster film 'Pokiri'. Though his next film 'Sainikudu' has not enough story strength, he is sure to pull the crowds and ensure that the film would also run for 100 days, with his impeccable performance. It is Maheshbabu alone who had such capacity in the present generation.'
